WHO WE ARE
CARRA Depurazioni has been present on the national market since the early 1970s in the field of design, construction and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants for civil, industrial, primary and stormwater applications.
In the civil wastewater treatment sector (domestic wastewater), the experience gained ranges from the construction of small treatment plants serving a single residential unit to the construction of plants serving urban agglomerations of 2,000 population equivalents. The applications carried out include: scattered residential units not connectable to public sewerage, campsites, tourist and hotel facilities, shopping centers, healthcare facilities, nursing homes, etc.
Plants for the treatment of industrial wastewater can serve wineries, food production companies, slaughterhouses, car washes, industrial laundries, ferrous material collection centers, contaminated groundwater, etc.
The primary water treated is mainly well water intended for water supply systems (therefore for human consumption), but also water intended for reuse in production processes.
Carra Depurazioni is very active and present also in the treatment of stormwater from paved surfaces, such as roads and highways, ports, airports, intermodal areas and parking lots. The treatment systems are sized and constructed in compliance with national and European regulations (UNI EN 858, light liquid separators) and are manufactured in-house with monolithic parallelepiped prefabricated reinforced concrete tanks, with internal volume capacity up to 62 cubic meters in a single unit. The tanks are modular and can be connected together to create storage basins with a total capacity of several hundred cubic meters.
Each of our plants is developed following the customer’s needs, designed ad-hoc according to the specific characteristics of the wastewater to be treated, the installation site and the surrounding context. We are present throughout the national territory and abroad to best follow the entire life cycle of a project, from the initial surveys in which we collect the data necessary for design to the delivery, installation and commissioning of the plants.
Our plants have been designed and developed to use low environmental impact technologies with very low operating and maintenance costs.
For example, approximately 20 years ago we were the first company in Italy certified ISO 9001 for the design, production, installation and maintenance of phytoremediation plants.
CERTIFICATIONS
Carra Depurazioni srl has obtained ISO 9001 certification from RINA s.p.a., which is the most important Italian certification body, for the following scope of application: design, production, installation and maintenance of phytoremediation plants and plants for the treatment of civil and industrial wastewater.

European Directives in terms of water treatment require, in fact, that in all areas of environmental value, or where collection is difficult to implement, innovative and sustainable solutions be adopted from an environmental and social point of view. Carra Depurazioni, with its thirty years of experience, offers those who intend to build a new plant the possibility of verifying its eligibility for financing through funds made available by the European Commission, whether direct or disbursed by regional bodies or national Ministries. For more complex organic projects, including experimental and international ones, Carra Depurazioni is able to provide adequate partner research, both academic and institutional, in order to substantiate a project idea that meets the eligibility criteria for public funding.
