Continuous treatment / refining of stormwater runoff containing mineral oils and gasoline

DESCRIPTION

To achieve the highest purification standards in the field of stormwater treatment, the most suitable solution is a removal process divided into the following stages:

  • Sedimentation
  • Oil separation
  • Adsorption

This final stage, with appropriate sizing and a careful selection of the adsorbent material, allows for results compatible with the most restrictive values required by current regulations (discharge to the ground according to Tab. 4 Legislative Decree 152/06). The parameters treated include COD, TSS, Hydrocarbons, heavy metals, etc.
Carra Depurazioni srl offers two different plant configurations for METEOFILTER, depending on the flow rate to be treated:

METEOFILTER MF

Treatment of low flow rates (for example, in first-flush systems);
Inside the tank, there will be a first compartment containing a lamella pack filter system. In the next compartment, there will be a filter layer with a variable composition of activated carbon/perlite/zeolite for the total removal of hydrocarbons present in the wastewater.

METEOFILTER HF

Treatment of high flow rates (in the case of large paved surfaces);
Inside the tank, there will be a filter layer with a variable composition of activated carbon/perlite/zeolite for the total removal of hydrocarbons present in the wastewater. The incoming wastewater will be uniformly distributed over the entire surface of the tank thanks to a perforated pipe located in the upper part of the system.
